CULTURE NEWS

  • Residents are invited to join the Hunt for Black History in Bryan from Feb. 2 to Feb. 27 as part of the Brazos series that celebrates local heritage.  The Eagle

ECONOMY NEWS

  • On Jan. 28, at the B/CS Chamber Economic Outlook Conference, Dan Rudge of the local planning organization presented a timeline for the five-year Rudder Freeway expansion, detailing a 45-day Briarcrest bridge replacement and improvements at Highway 21 in 2027, William Joel Bryan Parkway in 2029 and University drive in 2030.  WTAW

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Texas A&M announced Friday, Jan. 30 that it completed a review of 5,400 course syllabi for Spring 2026 after faculty revised hundreds to meet new Board policies. The review cancelled six courses & maintained student progress ahead of upcoming board meetings in College Station.  WTAW

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Texas A&M regents will vote next week on eight facilities projects including a new 73,000 sqft Semiconductor Institute building near the Bush Combat Development Complex and other campus improvements. The proposals were presented Thursday in College Station with work on some projects set to begin in March or over summer.  My Aggie Nation
