  • College Station will propose a three- to five-year plan that adds specialized staff to boost collaboration with Texas A&M. The plan is set for city approval this summer — it aims to deepen coordination between the two.  The Eagle

  • Texas A&M infielder Chris Hacopian and outfielder Caden Sorrell were named Preseason All-Americans by the NCBWA on Friday and the team will kick off their season on Friday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. against Tennessee Tech at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M softball ended the Aggie Classic with an 8-2 win over Providence last Sunday at Davis Diamond. The team will open play at Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational on Friday against Oklahoma State & Duke, starting at 9 a.m.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M equestrian team lost to Georgia by a score of 13 to 7 on Saturday morning at the UGA Equestrian Complex; they set personal bests amid an early deficit and will host SMU on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 10:30 a.m. in a Valentine’s matchup.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M women’s tennis advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Vanderbilt 4-2 at Atkins Tennis Center on Friday. The team secured wins in doubles and singles to maintain a 7-0 dual singles record this spring.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M track & field athletes broke school records Saturday at the Charlie Thomas invitational at the R.A. & Murray Fasken Indoor facility; freshman Lily Carlson vaulted 4.47m and Henry Zimmerman threw 22.14m as the team now readies for the Don Kirby Elite Invitational Feb. 13-14.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M softball dropped its first game of the season, losing three to two to Texas Tech on Saturday night at Davis Diamond. The Aggies tied the game early before miscues in the middle innings allowed Texas Tech to pull ahead.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M infielder Chris Hacopian and outfielder Caden Sorrell were named to the Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List after USA Baseball announced the nod on Friday. Their recognition marks the first for both players and extends Aggieland’s streak of multiple honorees with 55 players from 13 schools included.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M women’s tennis beat Oklahoma in Saturday’s ITA National Team Indoor Championship at Atkins Tennis Center. The Aggies (8-1) advanced to the semifinals with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 win by freshman Anna Perelman on court 6.  WTAW
  • The No. 11 Texas A&M softball team scored nine unanswered runs to beat Providence 9-1 in six innings Friday night at Davis Diamond (Kate Munnerlyn earned her first career win while Tallen Edwards led the offense).  WTAW
  • Texas A&M men’s tennis team won 4-1 against Florida State in a singles match at Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center Friday and will face Baylor today at Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center at 6 p.m.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M's men's basketball team lost 86-67 to #17 Florida Saturday night at Reed Arena. Pop Isaacs led a strong second half with 17 points & Marcus Hill added 15, but the team could not overcome an early defensive setback.  WTAW
