- ➤ On Thursday, Feb. 12, City of Bryan General Manager Travis Triola updated on library renovations and sports facilities via radio on Infomaniacs, and City Council reviewed a mural design for Clara B. Mounce Library Feb. 10 (featuring animals for Bryan and sister cities) that will finish by June’s First Friday. WTAW
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Texas A&M Athletics announced that 71 student-athletes earned spots on the 2025 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll. The roll recognizes athletes from football, volleyball, cross country, and soccer for balancing academics with competitive sports. WTAW
- ➤ Robert Gates (former defense secretary and A&M president) spoke at the MSC SCONA 71 conference on campus Thursday. His remarks highlighted lessons from his long career for the local audience. The Eagle
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bryan Texas Utilities has resumed credit card payments with a new third-party vendor after a ransomware issue with its previous provider. Autopay customers who missed a scheduled payment will have their bill processed Tuesday, Feb. 17, and regular billing resumes Monday, Feb. 23. WTAW
- ➤ Bryan city manager Andrew Nelson reported at the February city council meeting that improvements will be made to five streets and three parks. The council also approved a mural design for the west side of the Mounce library that an artist from Germany will complete by June’s First Friday (funded by an arts grant). WTAW

- ➤ Texas A&M set a program record by inviting 13 Aggies to the NFL Combine (Feb. 26 to Mar. 1) in Indianapolis; the school broke its previous record of nine invites. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M men’s basketball lost an 86-85 close game to Missouri on Wednesday at Reed Arena. Zach Clemence scored 20 points as eight lead changes in the final minutes set up the Tigers' win. WTAW
