- ➤ United Way of the Brazos Valley previews its first Sneaker Soiree fundraiser (featuring Maggie Gray and Latrail Bailey) set for Feb. 28 while the Texas A&M Forest Service awards 37 grants totaling $14 million to volunteer fire departments, including a $25,000 equipment gift for Brazos County Precinct 3. - ➤ No. 25 Texas A&M baseball beat Tennessee Tech 23-7 Saturday at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park, fueled by five home runs and key RBIs from players Wesley Jordan and Gavin Grahovac. Rookie pitcher Weston Moss earned the win as the team began its 2026 season. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M men's tennis swept the UCSB Gauchos 4-0 at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship on Sunday night at Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center. Alex Frusina delivered ranked wins (6-1, 6-4) and the team will open conference play against Ole Miss Saturday at 11 a.m. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M (5-4, 2-3) equestrian team defeated No. 3 SMU 10-8 Saturday morning at Hildebrand Equine Complex. Riders earned multiple MOP honors and several seniors were recognized before the team travels to Auburn to finish its spring season. WTAW
- ➤ The Texas A&M men’s basketball team lost 82-69 to No. 19 Vanderbilt at Memorial Gym on Saturday afternoon. Marcus Hill led with 20 points as the team prepares to face Ole Miss at Reed Arena on Wednesday at 6 p.m. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M women’s basketball defeated Auburn 81-63 at Reed Arena on Sunday night. Fatmata Janneh and Ny’Ceara Pryor each recorded a double-double and the team will play on Thursday, Feb. 19 at Tennessee. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M Volleyball announced its spring schedule with eight matches starting Saturday, March 28 at Reed Arena. Head coach Jamie Morrison detailed home and road doubleheaders in Houston and Dallas to brighten the season. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M track star Debora Cherono broke the 3,000m school record on Saturday at Boston University Track — Tennis Center with a time of 9:02.81. She will compete next at the Alex Wilson Invitational on Feb. 21. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M softball beat Northwestern 6-5 on Sunday at the Eddie C. Moore Complex (Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational) by erasing a five-run deficit, with Kennedy Powell driving the comeback. The team will travel to Cathedral City on Thursday to face No. 14 Oregon at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. WTAW
- ➤ No. 25 Texas A&M baseball swept Tennessee Tech 7 to 1 at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park on Sunday, completing their fifth consecutive Opening Weekend sweep & marking 16 wins in 18 seasons. Aiden Sims earned the win while Clayton Freshcorn recorded his first season save. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M Swimming & Diving teams face the SEC Championships running Monday through Saturday at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center on the University of Tennessee campus. Director Blaire Anderson said the teams are building on last year’s success and are focused on mental toughness ahead of each race. WTAW
