EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ College Station ISD has extended the out-of-district transfer student application period beyond next week because many families remain unaware of enrollment options at Creek View elementary and Cypress Grove intermediate. Superintendent Tim Harkrider said Tuesday that 15 applications were received and recruitment will ramp up in May and June. WTAW
- ➤ Chillennium, the largest student-run collegiate game jam, will take place at Texas A&M University’s Hildebrand Equine Center this weekend from Friday to Sunday, giving students a unique chance to work together on game design. The Eagle

- ➤ Texas A&M volleyball player Kyndal Stowers (who had 385 kills and earned top honors last season) was named to the Women’s National Team Collegiate Training roster and will train at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs from Feb. 19-22. WTAW
- ➤ On Tuesday at Suntree Country Club, Texas A&M’s women’s golf team, led by champion Vanessa Borovilos who won the individual title, earned a runner-up finish at the Moon Golf Invitational (the Aggies shot 4-under 860 in 54 holes); head coach Gerrod Chadwell praised the team’s late surge. WTAW
- ➤ No. 24 Texas A&M won against A&M-Corpus Christi in a baseball game Tuesday night at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park with an 8-3 score, highlighted by four home runs and nine hits including two first career home runs by freshmen. Pitchers also contributed key innings to secure the win. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M soccer team announced its 2026 spring schedule with five free-to-attend matches, including three at Ellis Field. The season opens Saturday, March 21 against Division II Dallas Baptist & continues with contests featuring Lamar, Sam Houston, and Texas Tech. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M senior diver Joslyn Oakley placed sixth in the women’s 1-meter springboard at the SEC Swimming & Diving Championships on Tuesday at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center at the University of Tennessee campus, and her 289.60-point score helped drive the Aggies dive crew's effort.
