- ➤ Two high-altitude balloons will be launched Saturday morning from the Brazos Valley RC Club's Dan Gray Memorial Flying Field at 823 FM 2776 in Wixon Valley. Locals can look forward to watching the launch at this familiar site. The Eagle

- ➤ Dr. Brian King, head of the Arch H. Aplin III '80 Department of Hospitality, Hotel Management and Tourism, told The Eagle he sees a bright future for Brazos Valley tourism. The Eagle
- ➤ Bryan City Council approved an economic development agreement with Messer LLC, a German industrial gases producer, for a liquid air separation unit east of the freeway along Boatcallie Road; the facility will begin production as early as summer and create at least 16 jobs, guaranteeing $312,000 per year. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Texas A&M's Arch H. Aplin III Department of Hospitality, Hotel Management, and Tourism is growing under head Brian King, with 500 students in paid internships and plans to move to the new Aplin Center (down Kimbrough Road) in 2028. King predicts tourism will expand. My Aggie Nation

- ➤ The city of Bryan installed a new bridge at the southeast corner of Midtown Park on Thursday as part of a larger trail project. The Eagle
- ➤ College Station city council reviewed feedback on Feb. 26 from 75 residents who met with city staff last November. They discussed proposals to extend Town Lake Drive to the freeway — along with road improvements, parks, and plans for a sports complex — and ideas for a mixed-use spine along Midtown Park Drive.
