CRIME NEWS

  • A Bryan man has been sentenced to 35 years in jail for aggravated robbery — he received his sentence last Friday.  The Eagle
  • On March 11 in west Bryan, police arrested 34-year-old Dan Arzola for assault after he punched a victim at a mobile home park and was later stabbed by a juvenile acting in defense, and on March 10, they charged 28-year-old Zachariah Hawkins with gun possession when a gun was found in his SUV during a disturbance near Henderson Park.  WTAW

  • On Thursday, March 13, 2025, Makenzie Kubacak, Youth Services Librarian at the Bryan and College Station Public Library System, discussed the Brazos Valley Children's Literacy Festival and upcoming library events with WTAW’s Scott DeLucia—her appearance on The Infomaniacs provided key details for local readers.  WTAW

  • The No. 19 Texas A&M baseball team will play No. 17 Alabama in a three-game series at Blue Bell Park starting Friday at 6 p.m.—the second game is on Saturday at 2 p.m. and the finale starts on Sunday at 4 p.m.  WTAW
  • The No. 6 Texas A&M softball team will face No. 22 Auburn in its first SEC road test at Jane B. Moore Field, starting Friday at 5 p.m. and continuing with games on Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. SEC Network+ will stream the contest.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M women's golf team finished third at the Clover Cup at the Wigwam Resort golf course in Litchfield Park, Ariz.—Freshman Vanessa Borovilos scored 6-under 204 and the team will next compete at the Charles Schwab Invitational at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth from March 24-25.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M divers earned five NCAA spots when Jaxon Bowshire, Rhett Hensley and Else Praasterink qualified on the platform at Wednesday's Zone D Diving Championships—while the team readies for men's meets in Federal Way from March 26 to 29 and women's from March 19 to 22.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M Women’s Tennis will play Missouri at 1 pm on Friday at the Mizzou Tennis Complex and Vanderbilt at 1 pm on Sunday at the Currey Tennis Center to end a four-match road trip— the 14—1 Aggies are tied for first in the SEC with a 5—0 conference record and feature top players Mary Stoiana and Nicole Khirin.  WTAW
