  • A Bryan man was arrested Thursday night after police found 12 grams of THC and 73 grams of marijuana in his vehicle—he is now charged with possession of THC with intent to distribute.  The Eagle
  • Local officials warn residents not to click on texts that claim to be from state road toll agencies & ask for personal financial details.  The Eagle
  • Jontae Webber, 28, received a 35-year prison sentence from Judge John Brick after a jury convicted him for the armed robbery at a College Station convenience store on February 12, 2023—tracking device evidence led police to recover stolen cash, cigarettes, and a blue handgun while court records showed he admitted unlawful gun possession and a hospital escape attempt.  WTAW
  • A Bryan man, 28-year-old Jontae Webber, was convicted by a Brazos County jury for using a loaded gun to rob a College Station convenience store on February 12th, 2023 and was sentenced to 35 years in prison on March 7th, 2025—evidence from a tracking device led police to his arrest.  WTAW

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • At a March 11 meeting, the two newest Brazos County commissioners delayed voting on $54.5 million in contracts for a new downtown Bryan office complex because they did not receive an office space study and project justification—commissioners said they needed the details to vote wisely. They plan to revisit the contracts at the next meeting once the missing information is provided.  WTAW

  • Texas A&M men’s basketball team lost a double-overtime game to the Texas Longhorns at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday when Wade Taylor IV scored a season-high 29 points and broke several SEC Tournament records— they now drop to 22-10 and will learn their next opponent on Selection Sunday.  WTAW
