GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ In its March meeting, the Bryan city council provided updates on capital projects including the Midtown Park Boardwalk starting this month and water wells set to begin soon—roads, drainage, and traffic signal projects are nearing completion. City staff also reported that parks and pools projects continue with the aquatic center now scheduled to reopen April 1, and they announced upcoming community events, such as a Big Barn Dance from March 27 to 29, a Street and Art Fair on April 5, and a helicopter egg drop on April 13. - ➤ At its March meeting, the city council heard from city manager Kean Register on capital projects like the Midtown Park Boardwalk set to begin this month, water wells work, and road and drainage improvements scheduled through 2025—city staff also detailed park enhancements including a turf project at BRAC soccer fields, an Aquatic Center bulkhead fix with a reopening on April 1, and community events from a $7 animal adoption offer to a Big Barn Dance from March 27 to 29 and a Blue Bunny Egg Hunt on April 12.
