- ➤ A Bryan man, 32, was jailed on March 25th for a phone scam that tricked a 79-year-old woman into giving $55,100 on one day in February—police said she was misled by a claim her son was arrested and none of the money was recovered. WTAW
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ College Station ISD school board unanimously approved a $56,850,715 contract at its March 18 meeting to expand College Station High School and renovate Rock Prairie Elementary. Both projects will start on April 1 and include new corridor additions, science labs and classrooms, as well as new administration space and driveway improvements that cut the timeline by six months and save $100,000 as part of a voter-approved bond from November 2023.
