  • The Association of Former Students is hosting its Aggie Ring Day distribution event today and tomorrow to mark 25 years of tradition—an ongoing milestone that continues a cherished Aggie ritual.  The Eagle
  • The Association of Former Students is holding Aggie Ring Day at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center today and tomorrow to mark 25 years of the event, with over 6,500 Aggie Ring recipients and about 60,000 guests expected—artist Trey Stephens, Class of 2008, will create a special commemorative artwork in the Aggie Ring Day Marketplace so participants can receive miniature prints and buy larger ones.  My Aggie Nation

EDUCATION NEWS

  • At a graduation ceremony on Wednesday at Texas A&M, students Kali Lewis and Mishika Gandhi said goodbye to their service dogs Snow and Ember—dogs they raised and trained for months to help veterans with PTSD.  My Aggie Nation

  • On Wednesday, the Texas Senate confirmed three regents for Texas A&M's board—Jay Graham and Michael A. Hernandez continue after their term ended and Kelly Sullivan Georgiades fills the seat formerly held by Michael Plank. Gov. Greg Abbott appointed them on Feb. 26 for six-year terms ending Feb. 1.  My Aggie Nation
  • City PIO Seth Waller appeared on WTAW to discuss the Blue Bunny Egg Hunt and the upcoming summer junior citizen police academy—while at a meeting on April 2 the Bryan/College Station MPO approved a study to improve pedestrian safety at key University intersections with plans to secure at least $183 million in funding, start work this October, and complete it in one year.  WTAW
  • The Texas Senate confirmed on Wednesday the appointment of three new members to the Texas A&M Board of Regents; they will help shape the university's future policies.  The Eagle

SPORTS NEWS

  • Texas A&M softball beat Prairie View A&M 10 to 0 on Wednesday night at Davis Diamond after scoring runs early to end the game by the run rule. Mac Barabara hit her 50th home run and pitcher Grace Sparks got her seventh win as the Aggies showed strong play.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M star Henry Coleman III was named the 2025 Nolan Richardson Player of the Year Award winner from 20 finalists in San Antonio—he broke school records with 351 offensive rebounds and over 1,200 points. He also helped his team both on the court and in the community.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M’s Jace LaViolette and Ryan Prager were named to the Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List when USA Baseball announced the selection on Thursday afternoon. This marks their second straight season on the list and places the Aggies among seven teams with multiple players — a rare honor.  WTAW
