  • Season 54 of OPAS at Texas A&M is set to open on Sept. 13 with a production honoring 9/11 and will feature a student concert with Aiden Ross on Sept. 18 at Rudder Theatre Complex, while the season mixes Broadway musicals & theatrical events from fall to spring.  WTAW

  • Texas A&M freshman Shiv Parmar fired a bogey-free 6-under 64, tying for second in his opening round at the SEC Men’s Golf Championship on Wednesday at Sea Island Golf Club, with six birdies including four in a row.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M Athletics announced that two Aggie tennis players earned SEC honors on Wednesday – Perez claimed Player of the Year and an All-SEC First Team spot while Kupres made the All-SEC Second Team; the team will learn its NCAA Championship assignment Monday, April 27 at 3:30 p.m. in College Station.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M Athletics announced six equestrian riders earned spots on the NCEA All-Championship Team. The honors cover Fences, Horsemanship and Reining events and include standout performers like Kate Egan.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M track & field stars Sam Whitmarsh and Jacob Wooten will compete at the inaugural Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms on June 6 at E.B. Cushing Stadium (tickets on sale), joined by Olympic gold medalist Quincy Hall and record-setter Khaleb McRae.  WTAW
  • At the April 20 meeting, coaches Jackie Sherrill, Darrell Dickey and Phil Bennett previewed a tackle football camp for third to sixth graders. Camp events include an NFL combine on May 9 then skills from May 11 to 14; the $40 fee covers a physical, (shirt and shorts) and lunch.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M volleyball will begin its 15-game SEC schedule with eight home matches and seven road contests, starting with a three-match homestand at Reed Arena on Sept. 27 (against South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi State).  WTAW
  • Texas A&M track & field athletes are set to compete at both the Penn Relays (at Franklin Field, Philadelphia) and the Michael Johnson Invitational (at Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium, Waco) from April 23–25. The team, ranked in the top 10 nationally, seeks to build on recent record-breaking performances.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M relief pitcher Clayton Freshcorn was named to the NCBWA Midseason Stopper of the Year Watch List on Wednesday; in 17 outings, the Waller native (with seven saves and a 2.00 ERA) now backs the Aggies as they begin a three-game series against No. 21 Florida in Gainesville with the opener at 5:30 p.m. today.  WTAW
  • Texas A&M women's basketball signed Georgia transfer Miyah Verse on Wednesday. Coach Joni Taylor said the rising redshirt junior will boost the Aggies with her rebounding and defensive skills as she joins the team for the 2026 to 2027 season.  WTAW
