- ➤ Joe Ruiz, a 39-year-old Bryan man, was sentenced on May 8 to 20 years in prison for using his Mercedes as a deadly weapon in a March 9 incident outside a downtown Bryan bar that injured several people — two critically — and he must serve at least ten years before becoming eligible for parole. - ➤ A former Bryan resident was booked on Monday for threatening a Texas A&M employee 23 times between April 17 to 19 and remained jailed on a $30,000 bond due to previous stalking charges—while a Bryan driver stopped Tuesday for a broken taillight and running two stop signs was arrested on ten warrants including probation violations, mail theft, evading and resisting arrest, and drug possession.
