Texas A&M athletes Violeta Martinez and Lexington Reed earned spots on the NCAA Division I Academic All-District Team on Thursday — a nod to their strong on-court and classroom performance.

Both are finalists for Academic All-America and maintained high GPAs alongside impressive tennis records.

Texas A&M coach Bobby Shuttleworth announced Thursday that defender Norah Bell, a transfer from Arizona State, has joined the soccer backline to add versatility and international experience from the Canada U-20 camp; she played 19 matches (18 starts) last season to help record eight shutouts.

Texas A&M announced on Thursday that Gavin Grahovac, Aiden Sims and Caden Sorrell have been named semifinalists for the Dick Howser Trophy (one of only four schools with three or more nominees among 48 candidates).
