- ➤ Bryan's 23-year-old Adrianna Wells was booked on May 12 for a January armed robbery in College Station’s Northgate district — she posted a $75,000 bond and was released the same day while 18-year-old Degarray Curley remains in custody on a $300,000 bond, accused of pointing a gun and stealing a PlayStation. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression released a report on Thursday that found over 1,000 free speech controversies at colleges since 2020—citing examples from Texas A&M. A Texas A&M spokesperson said the university did not discipline any student groups and continues to support free expression on campus. My Aggie Nation
- ➤ Bryan ISD’s former warehouse near Bonham and Sadberry schools is now the Teacher Closet project site that offers free school supplies to teachers and other staff with an ID badge—350 people received supplies from the old location in the last two and a half years. A ribbon cutting will be held Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. until noon—donations will be accepted and supplies distributed at the event. WTAW
