- ➤ Texas A&M University announced Bill Kibler as its new vice president for Student Affairs on Thursday; he will take over on Aug. 1 after serving as acting president of the College of Southern Nevada since last July—he was chosen over two finalists. My Aggie Nation
- ➤ Texas A&M University has named Bill Kibler as the new vice president for Student Affairs and he will start on Aug. 1. Kibler returns to Aggieland after serving as acting president at the College of Southern Nevada — he replaces interim VP Tom Reber who is set to retire later this year. WTAW

- ➤ Texas lawmakers passed SB 1567 in a 101-2-2 vote to end College Station’s rule that limits housing more than four unrelated people. The bill will become law on Sept. 1 after Gov. Greg Abbott signs it (a change welcomed by Texas A&M students seeking affordable housing). My Aggie Nation
- ➤ The Texas A&M Board of Regents approved a plan to widen Penberthy Boulevard on campus in College Station—construction will begin soon. The Eagle
- ➤ Seven highway projects funded by a November 2022 bond issue were updated at the Brazos County commission meeting on May 27—John Polster explained the future east loop highway may affect two homes and 81 parcels and could include a speed limit reduction to save land—and he outlined plans for widening highways and upgrading interchanges with a construction contract expected in early 2026. - ➤ Texas A&M softball players Mac Barbara and Mya Perez earned NFCA All-America Second Team honors, making them the first Aggie duo to receive such recognition in one season since 2013. Shortstop Koko Wooley was named a Rawlings Gold Glove Award Winner—the first Aggie to win the honor—in an announcement made Wednesday. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M track and field's Aleksandr Solovev booked his team's first spot in the NCAA Championships by clearing 5.42m/17-9.25 in the men's pole vault on the opening day of the NCAA West First Round at E.B.
