Good morning, Bryan.

The Texas Department of Transportation held a Click It or Ticket event outside Kyle Field where law enforcement shared the tragic 2017 crash that took 16-year-old Kailee Mills' life after she unbuckled her seat belt — officials warned that drivers who are not buckled up face fines and serious risks. Local authorities said seat belt patrols will ramp up through June to help reduce traffic deaths and injuries — urging everyone to buckle up for safety.

On Friday, Kelly Templin, RELLIS executive director, gave the Texas A&M Board of Regents a campus update that covered projects such as the Texas Semiconductor Institute, small modular nuclear reactor sites, a near-final land purchase along Goodson Bend Road, and a new entrance to ease traffic. Templin also detailed utility upgrades, the opening of the Animal Reproductive Biotechnology Center (opened May 6), and plans for a hypersonic wind tunnel and TEEX training complex, saying the campus has transformed since 2019 due to smart investments by the Texas A&M System.
