- ➤ OPAS Season 53 will begin in September at Rudder Theatre Complex with Broadway musicals, concerts and theatrical shows running through April—tickets and season passes became available on June 2 at the MSC Box Office and online. WTAW

- ➤ At its June 2 meeting, the Bryan ISD School Board approved Laura De La Rosa—a longtime Johnson elementary administrator—for the role of principal at Johnson Elementary. The board also hired Bryan Washington Jr. as the new director of transportation, and he brings 14 years of experience to ensure student safety on the buses. WTAW
- ➤ At last week’s Texas A&M Board of Regents meeting, Chancellor John Sharp said farewell as he ended his 14-year tenure and noted achievements such as rising research funding and the addition of the Bryan RELLIS campus—points that he said changed how Aggies see themselves. - ➤ The Texas A&M men's golf team added Kris Kuvaas, a rising junior from Pepperdine with two years of West Coast Conference play, to its roster for the 2025-26 season — he has won a conference title and played in regionals and NCAAs — and coach Brian Kortan said his experience will help the team compete well. - ➤ Texas A&M’s tennis player Mary Stoiana was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Women’s Tennis Division I Academic All-America Second Team after a season of many wins on the court and high marks in the classroom.
