- ➤ Bryan police arrested two men, 29-year-old Anthony Tijerina and 28-year-old Benjamin Lopez, on charges of beating a man and taking his car near 28th and Sims on June 1 and are seeking a third suspect, while a Grimes County man remains jailed for assaulting three women on June 2—College Station police also arrested three gang-linked young men during a June 3 traffic stop for a broken taillight. - ➤ Texas A&M will begin construction this month on its west campus to widen Penberthy Road and add bicycle parking, new street lighting and shared use paths — a $5.8 million project approved on May 29th by CFO John Crawford — with the road widening finishing by fall and the remaining features completed by January. - ➤ Brazos County commissioners approved proposals from construction companies for a $17 million remodeling of the county administration building that will improve the space and address water damage issues. The project will add a second floor to the old church sanctuary + replace the building’s exterior, following a year-long design process and questions from the meeting audience. WTAW
