- ➤ On June 9, College Station officers arrested Bryan man Stephen Madkins for burglary, robbery, interfering with an emergency call and resisting arrest after he locked himself in a Post Oak Mall bathroom, covered himself in soap and threatened an employee—on June 6, a Bryan man in a wheelchair was taken to the hospital with severe head trauma after a family assault that led to Esteban Chavez being held on charges of assaulting a disabled person, threatening officers and public intoxication. - ➤ The Bryan City Council approved two beautification grants to update buildings along major streets—one grant reimburses up to $17,000 for BCS Together on East 29th and the other offers up to $37,000 to update a former Planet K building into a new women’s clothing store. WTAW
- ➤ Brazos County commissioners paused plans for a new central warehouse and office building at their June 3 meeting after agreeing with staff not to seek proposals from builders. Baylor Scott & White opened a new outpatient surgery center in College Station on Monday, June 9 that can serve more than 100 extra patients each month. WTAW

- ➤ On Monday, June 9, Baylor Scott & White opened its new outpatient surgery center in College Station at the Plaza 900 building—adding space for over 100 extra patients each month and offering day surgery services for specialties like ophthalmology, ENT, plastics, and podiatry. - ➤ Texas A&M’s Mary Stoiana earned the Arthur Ashe Leadership—Sportsmanship Award and was named ITA Senior Player of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Tuesday. - ➤ Texas A&M's Jace LaViolette was named a Third Team All-American by Perfect Game Tuesday afternoon – he started all 56 games and hit 18 home runs with 61 RBI – and he holds school records for career home runs and walks. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M Baseball student-athletes Wyatt Henseler, Justin Lamkin and Jace LaViolette earned ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Central All-Region honors after strong season play as announced Tuesday morning.
