CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On July 4, a College Station officer was kicked during a traffic stop at an apartment parking lot, which led to the arrest of a driver for assault, resisting arrest and marijuana possession while an inmate at Brazos County jail was charged with assaulting staff. Bryan police also arrested suspects in connection with gunfire reports—Brazos County commissioners discussed changes to early voting rules that will affect election day procedures. WTAW
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bryan police found 79 shell casings from gunfire fired on July 4 and arrest reports for two men did not show anyone was hit. The City Council will consider a three-year rental agreement with Mid America League Baseball for Travis Major Field starting in 2026, which offers the city $32,000 per year and revenue sharing for home games.
