- ➤ The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and Texas A&M police are investigating a hazing incident at Kappa Sigma Fraternity that occurred on September 14 when pledges were made to perform exhausting physical activities off-campus—at least one pledge sought medical treatment. WTAW

- ➤ Texas A&M earned a top 25 ranking in the U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges rankings 2025-26 edition after placing 21st among public universities and receiving high marks for student support. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ St. Joseph Health's parent company submitted bond financing plans to spend up to $20.6 million on facility projects after county commissioners approved the request on September 23 — the funds will be allocated as $11.5 million for a Bryan hospital, $8.5 million for a College Station emergency room and $650,000 for a College Station express care clinic.
