- ➤ Texas A&M interim president Tommy Williams met with local reporters outside the administration building on October 16. During his talk lasting almost 20 minutes he said he accepted the role only on the condition that he would not seek a permanent position & did not share details on student or employee feedback. WTAW
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On October 14, the Texas A&M Forest Service awarded 46 grants worth over $9.2 million to 40 volunteer fire departments in Brazos and surrounding counties for firefighting vehicles and equipment – the grants are part of a statewide cycle of 879 grants totaling $164 million for the next fiscal year.
