- ➤ Maggie Gray of United Way of the Brazos Valley says 211 calls for food help have increased this week. She explains that the update covers resources during the government shutdown — including plans for Thanksgiving meals and other support services. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A and M Athletics' student-athlete volunteer-run AggiesCAN drive — the nation's largest of its kind — will collect canned goods for the Brazos Valley Food Bank and 12th Can food pantry until Nov. 30. Fans can donate in person at games including Friday's men's basketball opener against UCF, Saturday's football game against South Carolina, Sunday’s volleyball match against Georgia, and Tuesday's men's basketball game against Montana. - ➤ Texas A&M University's Hagler Institute named its 14th class of Fellows and Distinguished Lecturers on Monday — the announcement recognizes the new cohort's academic expertise for the 2025–26 year. The Eagle

- ➤ Former College Station Mayor Gary Halter died Saturday at age 84. He served on the city council from 1975 to 1980 and as mayor from 1980 to 1986, and he helped create Lick Creek Park and the public library — a celebration of life will be held Friday at Visit College Station Center. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The No.6 Texas A&M volleyball team swept Auburn 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-21) on Friday at Neville Arena, extending its win streak to eight games. The Aggies also reached their 20th win of the season and built strong momentum for upcoming matches. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M volleyball setter Maddie Waak was named SEC Setter of the Week for the second time this season after her team swept Auburn on Monday, and she tallied 44 assists and three kills in the game (the Aggies will face the Gators Wednesday at 6 p.m.). WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M redshirt sophomore quarterback Marcel Reed was named to the Davey O’Brien Award’s Great 8 after throwing 20-of-29 for 221 yards and two touchdowns in the Aggies’ 38—17 road win over Missouri. The team will return home on Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. on ABC for a conference matchup against South Carolina. WTAW
- ➤ The Texas A&M men’s basketball team lost to Oklahoma State 87-63 Sunday at Gallagher-Iba Arena after an early lead gave way when the Cowboys scored nine straight points and built a 43-29 halftime advantage. The Aggies will face UCF on Friday at 7 p.m. on SEC Network—aiming to improve their 2-1 record. WTAW
