- ➤ The Bryan/College Station Salvation Army launched its 2025 holiday campaign yesterday at Blue Baker restaurant on University—starting the Angel Tree program for adopting children to receive holiday gifts and recruiting volunteers as Red Kettle bell ringers. The campaign will feature limited-edition Angel Cookies at Blue Baker through November 16 and invites community members to select paper angels for local children, with gifts dropped off by December 13. - ➤ A memorial to honor the two service members killed in a 2009 helicopter crash was dedicated Friday afternoon at Texas A&M on the west side of Dunlap Drill Field on Coke Street — family members, friends and ceremony participants gathered to remember the fallen heroes. Jack Chupp performed Taps and Parsons Mounted Cavalry joined the service, marking a solemn moment for all who attended. My Aggie Nation

- ➤ Texas A&M diving teams got three top-10 spots on Thursday at the Jamail Texas Swim Center. They return to action today with women’s 1-meter prelims at 10 a.m., men’s 3-meter prelims at 1:40 p.m., and finals later at 5 p.m. for men and 6:30 p.m. for women — the teams aim to improve their scores. - ➤ The Texas A&M women’s cross country team won the South Central Regional meet on Friday at Agri Park and secured a ticket to the NCAA Championships while Jack Johnston earned his individual qualification by finishing ninth. All five women and four men received All-Region honors (including top finishers Joyce Kemboi and Debora Cherono) as the Aggies marked a rare achievement (their second regional title in program history). - ➤ Texas A&M women's basketball beat Tarleton State 79-64 Thursday at Reed Arena in front of 7,851 Elementary School Day fans. The Aggies surged in the second half — building a strong lead — and will face Kansas State at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 16 in their first road game of the season. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M extended head men’s tennis coach Steve Denton’s contract through the 2030 season as announced by Athletics Director Trev Alberts on Thursday, making him the winningest coach in school history after 20 seasons. He will lead the team as they gear up for upcoming competitions. WTAW
