- ➤ The Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce said its annual ag breakfast will be held Tuesday before Thanksgiving (November 25) to honor the local agriculture community, with awards for Lonnie Cammack and Joe’s Place as producers prepare the meal. WTAW
- ➤ Keep Brazos Beautiful celebrated its 45th anniversary at an awards luncheon that honored local groups and individuals for helping keep Brazos County clean and green—scholarship winners for 2026 were announced and a new scholarship was unveiled to support future environmental leaders. WTAW
- ➤ College Station community members attended a workshop meeting Tuesday where they shared their input for future Midtown developments—information that will shape upcoming local projects. The Eagle

- ➤ Tyson Voelkel, president and CEO of the Texas A&M Foundation since January 2016, is resigning with his last day set for December 1 — interim chief financial officer John Huser will lead the organization while a search for a new CEO begins. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets launched the March to 3,000 campaign last week to raise its membership from 2,143 to 3,000 by 2030—plans include new scholarships, improved recruitment strategies and two dorms scheduled for construction by 2027-28. - ➤ Texas A&M freshman Chaselyn Roderick, 18, published her latest science fiction novel—01% Falling—on Aug. 24. She began writing at 13, has already published three novels, and now studies English at A&M while planning her next book. My Aggie Nation

- ➤ College Station ISD approved an agreement with a Construction Manager At Risk Tuesday night to begin the process for a new administration building—marking the board’s first step in upgrading school facilities. The Eagle
- ➤ Vince Kellen has been named chief information officer for the Texas A&M University System and will start his role effective Dec. 1. He brings over 25 years of IT leadership experience—having driven digital and AI projects at UC San Diego, Kentucky and DePaul—to support research and student success across the system. - ➤ College Station ISD school board unanimously voted to use money from the November bond issue to build a new central administration office on Sebesta Road east of the freeway — groundbreaking is planned by August and the building is set to open in January. WTAW

- ➤ On November 18, Brazos County 9-1-1 began a trial period for an AI assistant that guides non-emergency callers in Bryan and unincorporated Brazos County—filtering calls for urgent issues. The system by Prepared—an Axon company—is expected to reduce call volume and improve response times, with full deployment set for later this month. WTAW

- ➤ Texas A&M Athletics announced Wednesday that four volleyball players—Logan Lednicky, Ifenna Cos-Okpalla, Maddie Waak and Kyndal Stowers—earned spots on the All-SEC First Team. Lednicky earned his fourth honor while Cos-Okpalla repeated her accolade and Waak and Stowers earned their first nods. WTAW
- ➤ The Texas A&M men’s basketball team beat Montana 86-81 Tuesday evening at Reed Arena — Jamie Vinson’s layup and dunk built a 70-51 lead before free throws in the final 20 seconds sealed the win. WTAW
