- ➤ The Big 6 expansion of Earl Rudder Freeway had its ceremonial groundbreaking on November 20—featuring TxDOT Bryan district engineer Chad Bohne and Brazos County state representative Paul Dyson. The Texas A&M Board of Regents approved six-year contract extensions for head coach Mike Elko and athletics director Trev Alberts on November 21—extending their roles through 2031 amid rising athletic achievements. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ College Station ISD board moved forward with recruiting students from outside the district during its November meeting, although the two newest board members did not support both motions. The Texas A&M Board of Regents approved six-year contract extensions for football coach Mike Elko and athletics director Trev Alberts on November 21—each move showing strong confidence in the leadership as Aggie sports continue to build momentum. - ➤ On Thursday at the Jamail Texas Swim Center, the Texas A and M swimming team posted five NCAA qualifying cuts and five top-10 finishes, with standout results from sophomore Ben Sytsma and others who set lifetime or season best times.
