- ➤ KBTX will hold its 30th annual Food for Families Food Drive on Wednesday, December 3 at the Brazos Valley Food Bank to help families get food. College Station mayor John Nichols wants people to share their ideas at a TxDOT open-house meeting on Tuesday, December 9 at the Meyer center on Dartmouth where officials will show plans to widen Harvey Road for better traffic flow. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ After voters approved a $397 million bond, Bryan ISD administrators explained to school board members that construction projects will span several years. The plan includes hiring architects and engineers in two to six months and purchasing $290 million in August 2026, $60 million in August 2029, and $47 million in August 2031 to cover campus needs. - ➤ Texas A&M regents approved a $25 million plan to hire 167 new professors over two years in 2027 and 2028. The Eagle

- ➤ College Station mayor John Nichols is urging residents to attend a TxDOT meeting on widening Harvey Road from east of the freeway to Boonville Road. A TxDOT report shows that similar traffic projects have reduced delays by 18 percent on nearby roads and could support efforts to ease congestion. WTAW

- ➤ Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach will hold a ribbon cutting for its new maternity home, Ally’s Place, tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. at 550 Fraternity Row in College Station — the facility will offer free room, board, and childcare to women 18 and older who are enrolled in school and employed. WTAW
