- ➤ Volunteer Ann Hays completed 9,000 hours of service at the Bush Library & Museum on Thursday and was honored with a new service pin that she proudly wore alongside her previous pins. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ More than 700 registered nurses at St. Joseph Health in Bryan voted to unionize on Dec. 9 and 10; they now plan to elect a bargaining team to negotiate for safer staffing and improved patient care – a move aimed at strengthening hospital services. WTAW
- ➤ More than 700 registered nurses at St. Joseph Health in Bryan voted to unionize on Dec. 9-10 to join NNOC/NNU (pending NLRB certification), giving them a voice in staffing and patient care as they prepare to elect their bargaining team. WTAW
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Texas A&M Athletics announced Wednesday that Cashius Howell earned SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors and Trey Zuhn III received the Jacobs Blocking Trophy (Howell is the first Aggie so honored since 1998). The Aggies host Miami for a playoff game at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kyle Field. WTAW
