  • The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program reported it was short 300 gifts due Tuesday and asked local donors to contribute soon so families can receive holiday support.  The Eagle

  • Doug Vorpahl donated 17 family photos of E. King Gill (the original 12th Man) to the Cushing Library at a Texas A&M reunion Saturday morning at the Stella Hotel, preserving his legacy as the school begins its 100th-anniversary celebration of the tradition.  My Aggie Nation

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Brazos County commissioners approved property tax breaks for a $110M expansion at Axis Pipe and Tube in north Bryan, following the city council’s similar vote last week— the project will add $4M in annual payroll and must begin construction within 18 months, with completion within five years.  WTAW

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Texas A&M will use a $50 million donation from Buc-ee’s creator Arch 'Beaver' Aplin III to plan the Aplin Center, a new hospitality and retail studies learning lab near the A&M Hotel & Conference Center.   • Texas A&M sophomore Aiden Ross won the 28th season of The Voice during Tuesday's finale (his win marks a notable achievement in the national competition).  The Eagle
