- ➤ Bryan ISD school board approved the 2026‑27 calendar on Dec. 15 after more than 2,500 responses from employees, students, and community members (over 70 percent of students contributed), while College Station ISD gathers survey opinions on fall break options until Friday, Jan. 2. WTAW

- ➤ Texas A&M coach Mike Elko announced Travis Williams as the team's associate head coach of defense + linebackers coach. He brings over 15 years of experience from roles at Arkansas, UCF, and Auburn. WTAW
- ➤ Texas A&M men’s basketball beat Prairie View 111-82 Monday night at Reed Arena, setting a school record for its sixth 100-point game. The Aggies (10-3) will open conference play against LSU (3:00 p.m.) on Saturday, Jan. 3. WTAW
