- ➤ Three Houston men were arrested in College Station on June 18th after a high-risk traffic stop by Bryan, College Station, and Brazos County police linked a white F-150 to multiple daytime home burglaries in Bryan’s Oakmont and College Station’s Raintree neighborhoods—each charged with attempted burglary of habitation and possession of criminal instruments. - ➤ Andrew Gutierrez was sentenced to 25 years in prison on June 17th for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he attacked his 11-week pregnant partner in January 2024 using a kitchen knife with a 10 inch blade; he was previously jailed for family violence in 2016 and must serve half his sentence before he is eligible for parole. - ➤ College Station ISD board members and administrators began changing campus boundaries for elementary, intermediate and middle schools on Tuesday, June 17, as CFO Heather Wilson reported that the new plans will adjust school zones. Texas A&M system employees hosted a retirement reception for Chancellor John Sharp on Wednesday, June 18, and he was honored with the U.S. Army’s Meritorious Public Service Medal as he prepared to finish his 14-year tenure on June 30.
